Let’s get to it! Melt white chocolate in a double boiler and keep it warm. In a second double boiler, melt the semisweet chocolate and transfer to a pastry bag fitted with a round #2 decorating tip. Spoon a modest amount of white chocolate onto the top of each brownie, smoothing it out to the edge.
Working quickly, take the pastry bag of chocolate and pipe a spiral on to the melted white chocolate. Starting at the center of the spiral, drag a toothpick through the white chocolate towards the edge of the brownie to create a spider web design. That’s it! You’re done. Your supernaturally scrumptious brownies are ready to be devoured as an irresistible Halloween treat.
Cook’s note: If you don’t have two double boilers—or even one—you can make your own. A double boiler, which is used to gently melt chocolate or cook other delicate ingredients, is essentially a pan over another pan of boiling water. The top pan holds the chocolate above the boiling water, which produces heat to slowly and evenly melt the chocolate.
To make your own, simply place a heatproof bowl over a pan of boiling water, making sure that the bottom of the bowl is not touching the water. Fill the bowl with chocolate, and stir occasionally until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

In a double boiler, melt the white chocolate, stirring often, until smooth. Keep the white chocolate warm and melted as you decorate the brownies.

In a double boiler or a heatproof bowl set over a pot of boiling water, melt the semisweet chocolate, stirring often, until smooth. Keep the semisweet chocolate warm and melted while you decorate the brownies.
Frost brownies with melted white chocolate
Working with one brownie at a time, spoon a generous 1 to 1-1/2 teaspoons of melted white chocolate on the top of each brownie, spreading the chocolate until it almost reaches the edge. The frosting should be on top of the brownie and not dripping down the sides.
Place melted semisweet chocolate in a pastry bag and pipe onto frosting
Transfer melted semisweet chocolate into a pastry bag fitted with a #2 round decorating tip. Working with one brownie at a time, pipe a spiral with the semisweet chocolate on the white chocolate frosting.
Make a chocolate spider web on each brownie
Starting at the center of the spiral, drag a toothpick or thin skewer through the white chocolate and the lines of the semisweet spiral toward the edge to create a spider web design. Make a spider web on the top of each brownie. Serve.
