With Halloween right around the corner, we all have one thing on our minds: the costume. If you’re looking for a gory but easy makeup effect, look no further than this can in head makeup tutorial.
And while some people will sew, stitch, patch, and paint their way to Halloween costume perfection, we weren’t all gifted with the crafty touch. Fortunately, creating a killer (or in this case, undead) costume can be as simple as grabbing an empty soda can out of the recycling bin, picking up a few products and turning yourself into the victim of a freak accident.
The effort is minimal and, for as terrifying as it turns out, it’s actually easy enough for anyone to put it together.
To create this can in head makeup you’ll need
- An empty soda can
- Pair of scissors
- Eyeliner or another washable marker
- Paper towels
- Facial adhesive glue
- Liquid latex and/or Spirit Gum
- LiquiSet Mixing Liquid (although plain water will work in a pinch, too)
- Facial paint in red and black
- Mehron Makeup Coagulated Blood
- Mehron Makeup Squirt Blood
In full disclosure, it may take a little time to get this look to the level of horror that you were hoping for. And, in all likelihood, you’re going to knock your own can off a time or two. We recommend doing a little trial run prior to your big Halloween appearance so you can figure out the best approach.
