If you have sparkle-lovers in the house, these adorable sequined hangers will positively dazzle them!
Someone on our team has a daughter who’s a cheerleader and absolutely loves having blinged-out hangers to hold her costumes and uniforms. These hangers would be perfect for aspiring ballet dancers or future rodeo queens, too — and we know several teens who would be thrilled have one or more of these sparklers to hang upcoming outfits of the day (#ootd).
Preparing the materials for this craft project
A dress hanger to dazzle
This is a very easy craft, perfect for the hesitant or beginning crafter. It’s kid-friendly, too, as long as the child knows how to use a hot glue gun safely.
You also can suggest this as a group craft: Get a team or club together to make a bunch of these crafts. Use them yourselves, give them to friends and family, or donate them to a school’s craft fair fundraiser!
Starting the sequin sequence
These hangers are sparkly and fun, using the ever-accessible sequin trim and wooden hangers. Switch up the shades, use multiple colors, throw in some rickrack to make a design. The closets these hang in will shine!

Directions: How to make sequined hangers
- With hot glue, affix the end of the sequin ribbon to the end of the hanger.

- Trim excess ribbon and secure with glue.
- Hang up something beautiful on the new hanger, and enjoy the shimmer and shine!
