Enter, Halloween nail art. While you may only get to wear your Halloween costume once or twice during the month of October, you can rock creepy, crawling, spooky, sinister (pick your poison!) nail art 24/7 and no one will bat an eye. Well, except maybe to compliment you on your killer talons.

If you’re going to lean into this spooky holiday trend, though, you can’t very well just shellac on some red polish and call it a day. Does the thought of creating your own intricate designs strike fear in your heart? Understandable. Pinterest failing isn’t as fun as it seems in memes.
So, to help you avoid that undesirable fate, we tapped artist Jimmy Nguyen of Buddha’s Nails to walk us through six different Halloween nail designs you can easily create (seriously, it’s true) on your own nails at home. And he showed us how to create all of them in under five minutes.

For these designs — jack-o-lanterns, blood drops, and spooky spiderwebs — you’ll need the following supplies:
- White or off-white nail polish (for base)
- Orange nail polish (for pumpkins)
- Neon green nail polish (for leaves)
- Red nail polish (for blood)
- Black nail polish (for spiders, webs, eyes)
- Acetone
- Dotting tool/stylus
- Small detailing brush
- Acrylic craft paints (for fine detailing)
