Christmas cookies that don’t require turning on the oven? Yes, please! When baking isn’t your strong suit, rely on the tried-and-true packaged cookies that everybody loves and transform them into a memorable Christmas treat. For our reindeer pop recipe, we use Double Stuff Oreos. These crispy, cream-filled chocolate cookies aren’t just addictive, they are a convenient treat that can be dressed up for any winter holiday occasion. To turn them into charming little reindeer, you simply dip each Oreo in melted chocolate and use candy and pretzel pieces to create a unique eat-me-right-now reindeer face. Christmas cookie-making couldn’t get any easier!

Reindeer Oreo pops aren’t just for holiday cookie swaps, they make great Christmas gifts. Wrap each pop individually with cellophane and ribbon, then stick them in stockings, use them as surprising treasures next to bows on wrapped presents, or give your loved ones a dozen reindeer oreo pops tucked into a large ribbon-decorated mason jar. You can even send reindeer pops to school with your kids for holiday parties and heartwarming teacher gifts.

Fun reindeer fact: Reindeer are part of the deer family, called Cervidae, which includes deer, elk, moose, and wapiti. These long-legged, hoofed, and antlered holiday-centric creatures are called reindeer in Europe, and referred to as caribou in North America. They also don’t fly. But some reindeer, like Rudolph, have red noses. This is due to an excessive quantity of blood vessels in the nose that supply blood and regulate body temperature in extreme temperatures.
