Creamy chicken-sausage and spinach pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta, cooked
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound garlic chicken sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 6 ounces baby spinach
  • 1/3 cup toasted chopped walnuts
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Set a large skillet over medium high heat. Add in olive oil.
  2. Once the oil is hot add in the sliced sausage and cook until fully cooked and browned.
  3. Add in the pasta and heavy cream.
  4. Stir to combine and let cook for about 5 minutes or until the sauce starts to thicken.
  5. Stir in the baby spinach, chopped walnuts, Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Let the spinach wilt with the warmth of the sauce.
  6. Taste and season with kosher salt or more red pepper flakes if desires.
