The perfectly messy bun
The sexy messy bun allows you to show off your shoulders (which is perfect if you are wearing a strapless or off-the-shoulder dress) and it is much more approachable than an intricate updo. The key to pulling off this look is to not overthink it.
Start by giving your roots some volume by applying texturizing spray or use a wide-barrel curling iron to give it some curl and volume. Pull your hair back into a low ponytail and secure with a ponytail holder. You can also add in a small braid before pulling it back into a ponytail. Next, twist your hair into a bun and secure with bobby pins. Don’t worry about making the bun too perfect, as you want it to look slightly undone with a few stray hairs for that perfectly romantic messy bun.
