Maple-balsamic Brussels sprouts with bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 F. degrees.
  2. Place parchment paper over a large baking sheet.
  3. Place the bacon strips in a single layer on the parchment paper.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, vinegar, and maple syrup together.
  5. Lightly brush each of the pieces of bacon with the balsamic mixture.
  6. Pepper the bacon.
  7. Bake the bacon in the oven for 20 minutes, or until crispy.
  8. Once bacon is cooked, remove, and drain on paper towels blotting away excess oil.
  9. Crumble bacon and set aside.
  10. Place the Brussels sprouts in a large bowl, add remaining balsamic mixture and mix well.
  11. Place the Brussels sprouts on the baking sheet, returning the pan to the oven.
  12. Bake until done, about 20-30 minutes.
  13. Once cooked through, remove from oven.
  14. Place sprouts into a bowl, add crumbled bacon, toss well, and serve.
