Gluten free and vegan maple pecan pie crust

Yield 1 9 inch pie crust



  1. Preheat oven to 325F degrees.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the coconut oil and maple syrup.  Whisk in brown sugar, vanilla, nutmeg and water.
  3. Place pecans in food processor and pulse until finely ground.
  4. Pour maple and sugar mixture into the food processor with the pecans.
  5. Continue processing until mixture begins falling from sides of bowl.  Scape down once.
  6. Press evenly into 9-inch glass pie pan.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  8. Remove from oven.
  9. Allow to cool before using.
