An excellent breakfast to make the morning after Thanksgiving is waffles—but take it over the top with Biscuit Waffles with Turkey and Gravy. Did you know that you can make waffles that taste just like buttermilk biscuits? All you need to do is make biscuit batter and cook it in a waffle maker. Top them with leftover Thanksgiving turkey and gravy and you have yourself a fun twist on the traditional biscuits and gravy breakfast favorite.

Biscuit Waffles with Turkey and Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 4 slices turkey
  • 1 cup turkey gravy

Instructions

  1. Preheat a waffle maker.
  2. Add all ingredients except for the turkey and gravy to a mixing bowl and whisk together until well blended.
  3. Drop about 1/3 cup batter onto each waffle mold in the waffle maker, and press down to cook for about 5 minutes. The waffles should be firm and golden brown.
  4. Top the biscuit waffles with turkey and gravy.
