Sequins make us think of parade costumes, fancy hats and fireworks, so it makes sense to use them to add a bit of bling to these centerpieces. Wrapping the pot in sequin trim is guaranteed to create a centerpiece that can’t help but get noticed.
While we love the sparkle of sequins, there are endless ways to make these centerpieces stand out. With some red, white, and blue paint, there’s no end to the designs you can create. Stripes? Stars? Why not both? Use tape to paint alternating colors of stripes, or stencils to add stars.
Red, white, and blue flowers and accents add some good ol’ Americana to the pot. Use artificial flowers if you want a beautiful centerpiece that won’t die if you forget to water it. On the other hand, if you prefer foliage that actually lives and breathes, go ahead and choose a few real flowers or plants. Stick a flag, spinner or pinwheel into the dirt for an extra touch of color.
Two or three differently decorated pots placed together make a charming collection on a porch, on a patio or in a garden. Place your decorated pots on tables and fill them with candles, candy, napkins, or utensils for outdoor get-togethers. Let the kids join in on the fun and create their own that they’ll be proud to show off.
These pots are truly multipurpose. See? One pot would never have been enough for the many ways you can use ’em!
