Naturally, we think of eggs in terms of eating and nutrition, but they are also a powerful ingredient in many DIY face masks.
When applied to skin, eggs provide extra beautifying protein, minerals and vitamins. The magnesium found in eggs helps to slow the aging process in skin cells, while riboflavin eradicates wrinkle-inducing toxins and free radicals. Protein keeps skin strong and resilient, and the potassium in eggs helps the skin retain moisture. So go ahead, raid your fridge, whip up a mask and take a little “me time” for yourself and your skin.
For each mask, whisk together the ingredients in a bowl and apply to a clean face. Let the mask sit for 15 minutes, unless your skin is noticeably sensitive. If you experience any stinging or discomfort, wash the mask off immediately.
