Are you bewitched, mind, body and soul? If so, there is no other choice than Pride & Prejudice for your Valentine’s viewing. This timeless Jane Austen tale takes you deep into the world of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, from which you may never want to leave.

Not only was soup one of the family’s favorite dishes, but the highlight of the Netherfield Ball was a white soup (Charles Bingley tells us so!). While historically this would have been made from veal stock, pudding rice and anchovies, we recommend our dreamy, creamy cauliflower soup instead.

Roast pork tenderloin with dried fruits pairs nicely with the soup, and seems like the sort of proper meal that might have been served at a table Mr. Darcy would sit at.

Finish off the evening with a traditional English dessert, such as a trifle. This pumpkin pie version gives a nice seasonal twist to the classic confection.
