Easy skillet apple pie

Yield 8 servings



  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Toss chopped apples in cornstarch, cinnamon and 3/4 cup granulated sugar.
  3. Melt butter in skillet.
  4. Add brown sugar and heat until dissolved.
  5. Remove skillet from heat and place one pie crust in bottom of pan.
  6. Bake crust for 9 minutes.
  7. Drain apple mixture. Add into pie.
  8. Top with remaining pie crust.
  9. Whisk egg white to foamy consistency.
  10. Add water and mix well.
  11. Brush across top of crust.
  12. Sprinkle remaining granulated sugar across pie.
  13. Cut several slits in top for steam to escape.
  14. Bake for 60 minutes, until crust is golden-brown.
