Hop (2012)

No Easter movie list would be complete without Hop. In this adorable and hilarious Easter movie, your family will meet E.B., the Easter Bunny’s son, as he goes on a mission to fight family tradition and become a rockstar instead. The adults will get a kick out of this one, too, especially when you recognize famous voices like those of Russell Brand, James Marsden, Hugh Laurie and Kaley Cuoco.

Pro tip: Be sure to come prepared to this viewing with plenty of snacks! There’s lots and lots of candy in this movie, and the cravings are real.

Rise of the Guardians (2012)

The whole team of mystical characters makes an appearance in this family favorite of all Easter movies, Rise of the Guardians. Join the Easter Bunny (Hugh Jackman), Santa Claus (Alec Baldwin), the Tooth Fairy (Isla Fisher) and the rest of the “immortal guardians” as they set out to protect children everywhere from the evils of the world.

The best part of this movie? Seeing the Easter Bunny in a whole new light. No cute fuzziness over here.

It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown (1974)

Though maybe not as famous as its Halloween counterpart, Charlie Brown’s Easter movie is a true classic. Join Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang as they paint some Easter eggs and learn all about the mysterious Easter Beagle in It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown. Of course, there are the classic lessons of friendship and kindness along the way.

Your kids will recognize the characters from the more modern Peanuts Movie (2015), while you’ll enjoy a big dose of nostalgia. Plus, the movie only runs for about 25 minutes — the perfect amount of time to capture your littles’ attention on a rainy afternoon while you wait for the sun to come back out.

Peter Rabbit (2018)

While it may be the newest Easter movie on our list, everyone is familiar with Peter Rabbit. In this live-action film, James Corden puts a hilarious twist on a classic story and character, full of punchlines and charm.

Your kiddos will love the energy and suspense of this sweet movie, where Peter has to use his wit to defend his family’s home in the garden of Mr. McGregor. Don’t worry, though — there are plenty of scenes that will even get the occasional giggle out of the adults in the room.

Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo (2004)

Everyone loves the Hundred Acre Wood gang, and the whole family will love this adventure, as Pooh, Piglet, Roo and all the other characters get ready for Easter in Winnie the Pooh: Springtime with Roo.

Well, almost everyone. Rabbit is not convinced, instead declaring Easter canceled in favor of Cleaning Day. (Rabbit can be a bit of a bummer sometimes.) Your kids will love cheering Roo and Tigger on as they try to change Rabbit’s mind. This will become one of your favorite Easter movies.
